An Aldi spokesman said:
"Aldi has been contacted by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to alert us that a random sample of our Oakhurst Frozen Meatloaf tested by a local authority has been found to contain horsemeat."
ALDI GETS ALL CLEAR ON HORSE MEAT
Aldi Stores Ltd has completed horse DNA tests that show negative results across its range of minced beef and ready meal products, and has committed to regular DNA testing to ensure product quality.
In line with Food Standards Agency (FSA) guidance, Aldi tested its full range of minced beef and ready meals products for horse meat with results showing there is no horse meat in any of them.
