For the main event, Aldi is offering a vegan centrepiece like no other – its Plant Menu No Turkey Crown with Vegan Bacon (£4.99, 560g). Featuring a turkey-style soya joint, filled with a jewelled cranberry and chestnut stuffing centre, this delicious number is hand wrapped in vegan bacon. Serve with a generous helping of the Plant Menu Vegan Gravy (£1.49, 400g); a tasty accompaniment made with carrots, onions, mushrooms and parsnips, gently simmered with thyme and rosemary. Both on sale from 19th December.
For something as pleasing on the eye as it is to taste, Aldi’s Specially Selected Vegan Festive Wreath (£3.99, 480g) is packed with butternut squash, chestnuts and pumpkin seeds, topped with candied orange slices and rosemary sprigs that release an amazing aroma when cooked. What’s more, this crowd pleasing main is served with a cranberry glaze to add a pop of colour and sweetness. On sale from 19th December.
Not forgetting the traditional Christmas Nut Roasts – Aldi’s Specially Selected offering features a Plant Based Camembert with a Cranberry Centre (£2.99, 390g) – how delicious! Or veggie fanatics can opt for the Specially Selected Root Vegetable Bake (£2.99, 400g) – packed with flavour and colour, it’s the ultimate meat-free dinner treat.
It just wouldn’t be Christmas without pigs in blankets, would it? Aldi’s got everyone covered with its No Pigs in Blankets (£2.49, 228g); delicious meat-free sausages, hand-wrapped in smoky vegan bacon. On sale 19th December. Those keen to get the party start-ed early can indulge in Aldi’s selection of delicious handmade vegan Dim Sum, including Char Sui Mushroom and Jackfruit Bao Buns, Five Spice Jackfruit Dumplings, and Purple Spicy Shumai – a blend of jackfruit, king oyster and shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots and red chilli. Not only do these bite-sized, full-flavoured pockets pack a punch, but they are also a colourful addition to any table or party platter. On shelves from 10th December.
For what some may consider to be the most important course of all – dessert – Aldi is most certainly delivering the goods. Introducing the supermarket’s first Vegan Speculoos Cheezecake (£2.49, 450g); a crunchy digestive biscuit base topped with a delicious dairy-free speculoos filling, decorated with an indulgent speculoos sauce and biscuit crumb. Sweet dreams are made of… cheese cake!
Aldi’s Specially Selected Vegan Chocolate Torte Slices (£2.29, 2 x 80g) will hit the spot for dairy-free choco-holics. Two slices of rich Belgian dark chocolate and hazelnut ganache, set on a spiced cinnamon crumb and moist chocolate sponge base. Hand finished with nibbed roasted hazelnuts – simply divine. For small but mighty bite-sized balls of heaven, Aldi’s Moser Roth Vegan Truffles (£3.99, 144g) are the ultimate indulgence. Available from 26th September in two rich flavour combinations: Salted Caramel or Chocolate Orange, they add a touch of luxury to any occasion.
