The time of year is fast approaching where Bank Holidays are plentiful, and indulging in a cocktail or two is top of the itinerary for many, so Aldi is celebrating the Easter season with some quirky cocktail recipes.

Using drinks including the award-winning Sea Dog Premium Spiced Rum and Premium French Vodka, Aldi’s Easter recipes guarantee a tasty tipple and are perfect for rum fans and choc freak-shake favourers alike!

Chocolate Raspberry Martini

The classic martini as it’s never been seen before, this sweet tipple combines two of life’s greatest treats – chocolate and booze!

Serves: 2

Prep Time: 15 minutes  

Cook Time: 3 minutes


  • 160ml Raspberry Mojito Rum
  • 20g Dark Chocolate
  • 140ml Double Cream
  • 100g Fresh Raspberries
  • 2 Sprigs Mint
  • Caster Sugar


  • Grate 18g of dark chocolate
  • Put it in a small saucepan with the cream and heat them on a low heat to just melt the chocolate
  • Whisk well and allow to cool
  • Put 4 raspberries aside and liquidise the rest
  • Strain to remove the seeds and put the purée to one side
  • Dip the top of the martini glasses in the strained seeds to dampen the edge, then dip it in some caster sugar to give you a pink sugared rim
  • Mix the rum with the chocolate cream and divide this between the glasses
  • Gently pour the purée over the top
  • Sprinkle the remaining chocolate, decorate with the raspberries and the mint and serve

Chocolate Freak Shake

A chocoholic’s paradise; this grown-up milkshake is the ultimate sweet and creamy indulgence to truly celebrate the Easter weekend.


  • 50ml Sea Dog Premium Spiced Rum
  • 150ml Cowbelle Chocolate Fudge Milk
  • 500ml water
  • 60g sugar
  • 60g The Pantry Cocoa Powder
  • Moser Roth Luxury Dark Chocolate
  • Memento Triple Chocolate Cookies


  • In a small saucepan, boil 250ml of water then remove from heat and add The Pantry Cocoa Powder and sugar
  • Stir to dissolve and then add the remaining 250ml cup of water
  • Once cool cooled, add the Old Hopking Spiced Rum to the mixture and leave to infuse
  • Once successfully infused for ten minutes, shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
  • Pour into your preferred glass and top with whipped cream, grated Moser Roth Luxury Dark Chocolate and Moment’s Triple Chocolate Cookies

Crème de Cacao Choctail


  • 25ml Premium French Vodka
  • 60g sugar
  • 60g The Pantry Cocoa Powder
  • 500ml water


  • In a small saucepan, boil 250ml water then remove from the heat and add the cocoa powder and sugar. Stir to dissolve and then add the remaining water
  • One cooled, add the vodka to the mixture and leave to infuse
  • After the vodka has successfully infused, strain the liquid through a coffee filter to remove any fine particles and pour into a glass of your choice
