- Aldi’s gourmet British cheese burger challenges ‘premium’ supermarket offering
- Discount supermarket set to save customers up to 60 per cent* on gourmet burger
- August bank holiday set to be perfect for a barbeque as temperature reach record highs
With temperatures during the long weekend being dubbed perfect barbeque weather - and set to beat July’s peak of 33.5oC - customers can dine alfresco with family and friends and enjoy some of this seasons barbeque favourites, including the classic cheeseburger, all for as little as £1.88 per head!
Created using British angus burgers and locally produced cheese, Aldi’s exceptionally low priced, great value gourmet burger will challenge competitor supermarkets’ whose premium ranges can cost almost double.
This gourmet British cheeseburger made with Aldi’s Specially Selected Angus Gourmet Burgers (£1.99), Aldi’s Specially Selected Long Clawson Mature Blue Stilton (£1.45), topped with red onion (59p) and baby gem lettuce (55p) and sandwiched between Specially Selected Luxury Brioche Buns (75p) will have family and friends asking for more! Saving shoppers a sizzling hot 48%**, there will be smiles all round!
Aldi will also be offering Wagyu Rump Steak and Smokey Barbeque South African Free Range Ostrich Steak both for a scorching £4.99 each on sale from 25th August, while stocks last, so be quick because when it’s gone, it’s gone!
Add vegetarian options to the barbeque menu without breaking the bank with Lyttos Halloumi (£1.39), a perfect meat alternative that everyone can enjoy. Pack them full of flavour by creating kebabs; start by grilling the halloumi on skewers, add vegetables of your choice and enjoy them whilst basking in sun. Quorn Sausages (£1.49) offer a meaty taste; swap the gourmet burgers for sausages for a great tasting alternative to the burger.
