Discount supermarket Aldi is staying true to its Everyday Amazing promise, by helping to make skiing accessible to all. Not only can you kit out a family of four in ski wear for less than £134**, Aldi is launching discounted ski lessons for the first time as part of its Specialbuys Ski offering, which includes its biggest ever range of quality ski gear and accessories to date, available from 27th November while stocks last.
Available in store and online, adults can make a saving of 126% on ski essentials including a Ski Top (£4.99), Ski Trousers (£16.99) and Ski Jacket (£19.99), compared with market equivalents* and kids can be kitted out for just £24.97***. In addition, as part of the discount retailer’s ‘Ski For All’ initiative, which aims to help make skiing more accessible for all, it has teamed with Britain’s most popular winter sports destination, CairnGorm Mountain, to offer discounted ski lessons. With 25% off, adults can get lessons for just £74 whilst kids lessons are 30% off at £53. Lessons will be hosted by top instructors and include ski passes and equipment hire available to purchase via the Cairngorm website.
Tony Baines, Managing Director for Corporate Buying at Aldi comments: “It is no longer a surprise that Aldi offers great quality affordable ski gear – it is something our customers recognise and have grown to expect each year, and so for this launch, we were keen to up the stakes with a larger range than ever before.
“What’s more, in our continuous bid to help make skiing more accessible to all, we are delighted to be offering something a little extra this year too, working with CairnGorm Mountain to offer Specialbuys Ski lessons for families.”
Martin Amos, Snow School Manager at CairnGorm Mountain says: “We fully support Aldi’s ‘Ski for All’ initiative and welcome their investment in our snow school to offer Specialbuys Ski lessons. Their quality ski gear helps families enjoy skiing for less and shows, just as we do, that a ski holiday needn’t cost the earth.”
Aldi’s extended Specialbuys Ski range boasts excellent quality products including thermals, mid-layers, an action camcorder and helmets, as well as a host of other great value apparel and accessories. The offering follows the success of its popular ski range launch in 2015, which saw over 1.2 million items of ski clothing and accessories sold.
Seasoned skiers can also enjoy huge cost savings this winter with Aldi’s Pro Ski range for adults and children, offering advanced protection even in the toughest of ski conditions. Featuring Ski Pro Jackets (£34.99), Ski Pro Salopettes (£29.99), Seamless Winter Sports Base Layers (£7.99), Children’s Snowboard Jackets (£14.99) and Children’s Snowboard Trousers (£9.99), the Pro range will be available in store and online from 12th January 2017, while stocks last.
