Thanks to Aldi’s Nutrient Blender (available from today for just £29.99), homemade smoothies couldn’t be simpler and speedier to make.

Avocado Breakfast Smoothie – 44p per serving
·         Serves: 4 people
·         Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
1 large ripe Avocado
1 Kiwi Fruit
1 small Banana
20g fresh Spinach Leaves
300ml Acti Leaf Unsweetened Soya Milk
2 tsp Grandessa Squeezy Honey
1 Lime
 
Method
Juice the lime and put into a bowl.
Cut the avocado in half – remove the stone and scoop out the flesh.
Add the avocado flesh to the lime juice and toss to coat.
Peel and chop the banana and kiwi.
Put all the above into a liquidiser along with the honey, soya milk and spinach leaves.
Blend until smooth, then serve.

Matcha Coconut Smoothie – 56p per serving

·         Serves 4
 
Ingredients
300ml Vita Coco Coconut Water
200ml Asia Reduced Fat coconut Milk
2 tsp (2 sachets) Matcha Green Tea Powder
2 bananas
100g Baby spinach
Method
Blitz all the ingredients in a blender or smoothie maker until smooth and serve in a chilled glass. For a fresh, spicy kick, add a little grated ginger.
 
Mango, Pineapple and Kale Smoothie  - 92p per serving

Ingredients
200g Mango Chunks
200g Pineapple Chunks
30g Curly Kale
200ml Rio D’Oro Apple juice
 
Method
Chop the kale finely.
Put all the ingredients into a food processor and pulse till well blended and serve.
 
Spinach, Avocado, Coconut Oil & Raspberry Smoothie - £2.19 per serving

·         Prep time: 5 minutes

·         Gluten Free
·         Vegetarian
 
Ingredients
100g Kale leaves, trimmed of any tough stalks
2 tbsp coconut oil, softened
200g fresh or frozen raspberries
1 ripe avocado, peeled and stoned
400ml unsweetened soy milk (or cow’s milk)
Juice of 1 lime
2 tbsp honey
12 ice cubes
 
Method
Place all the ingredients into a smoothie maker or liquidiser and blend until smooth.
Divide between 2 tumblers and serve at once.
