Flexible home working could save commuters £368* per year with the new Aldi home office range

With the average rail season ticket costing £2,492* per year and all companies now offering flexible working conditions, the number of people opting to work from home is on the rise.

Discount supermarket Aldi is tapping into this trend with its first home office range for under £130. Just by setting up a home office and working from home one day a week, a flexible working savvy commuter could save on average £368** per year. In addition to cheaper travel costs, the Aldi office furniture range also offers savings of 159% compared to high street competitors[1].

Recent figures from the Trade Union Congress (TUC) found that the number of people working from home is estimated to be at 1.5 million.[2] The study reveals that nearly a quarter of a million more Brits work from home than a decade ago, with more workers than ever opting for a more flexible life away from the office.

Launching on 30th April, the new home office range from Aldi will be available just in time for National Work from Home Day on Friday 19th May, providing those working from home with everything they need to set up their own office space. The range includes a Premium Designer Office Chair (£39.99) and a Premium Trestle Desk (£39.99) in a choice of two colours, with a Premium Office Bookcase (£49.99) to complete the look. There are also a variety of office accessories including a Cross Cut Paper Shredder (£26.99) and A4 Laminator (£13.99) to ensure workers have everything they need to complete a day’s work with ease at home.
