ALDI HOPS ON BRITISH BEER TREND WITH LAUNCH OF LATEST FESTIVAL

Following the success of May’s Beer Festival, Aldi is once again championing British breweries with its latest launch, which consists of 17 great-tasting ales. Available across England and Wales, each beer has been handpicked for its unique style and distinct taste, celebrating the quality of home-grown brews. What’s more, each product in the Aldi Beer Festival is only £1.29, meaning you can mix and match to create your perfect selection, without breaking the bank.
 
Wizard Amber Ale (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Frederic Robinson, Stockport
 
This mythical amber ale is the perfect brew for when those autumn nights start drawing in. Brewed with floral characteristics and combining a hint of red berry and zesty flavours, this delicious infusion has a spell-binding fruity, zesty palate and a tantalising hint of blackcurrant.
 
Wadworth 6X (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Wadworth & Co, Devizes
 
Full bodied and distinctive, this strong premium ale is the jewel in Wadworth Brewery’s crown – their most popular brew, which has been in production for nearly 100 years. Mid-brown in colour, malty and fruity on the nose with a balancing hoppy note, the 6X has a distinct character, which emerges intensely on the palate with a long, lingering and malty finish.
 
Velo Pale Ale (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Black Sheep Brewery, Masham
 
Originally brewed in celebration of the bicycle and Le Grand Depart, this citrusy pale ale is a fresh, seasonal option, brewed with cascade hops and an ever so subtle hint of orange and coriander.
 
Unicorn Black Stout (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Frederic Robinson, Stockport
 
Singing with rich flavour, Unicorn Black is a mysterious, ebony coloured stout with a distinct aroma of roasted malt and chocolate, delivering a palate of roasted coffee and peppery hops. Rich, full-bodied and deeply satisfying, this beer is perfectly balanced with a memorable bitter-sweet aftertaste.
 
Peaky Blinders Black IPA (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Sadler’s, Stourbridge
 
Brewed with five different malts and five different hop varieties. Peaky Blinders Black IPA is dark and delicious, yet refreshing and hoppy with chocolate and coffee aromas. Pair with a creamy pasta dish, burgers or smoky BBQ ribs for a hearty winter meal.
 
Orme Best Bitter (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Great Orme Brewery, Wales
 
A mouth-watering cask conditioned ale based on a traditional Welsh recipe, the Orme Best Bitter is a wonderful golden ale with a fruity, malty nose. This excellent quality brew has a well-balanced taste that gives way to a delicate smoked finish.
 
Young’s Double Chocolate Stout (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at The Eagle Brewery, Bedford

Chocolate malt, vanilla aromas and real dark chocolate are combined with Young’s award winning rich, full flavoured stout beer to craft a satisfyingly indulgent, but never overly sweet experience.
 
Reverend James Rye (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at S A Brain & Co, Cardiff
 
The Reverend James Rye is a darker, oak coloured ale which uses Rye Crystal malt to add a richer taste and depth of flavour. A blend of US hops provides flavours of citrus and spice with a dry bitter finish.
 
Henney’s Exhibition Cider (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Henney’s Cider Co, Herefordshire
 
Exhibition is a dry cider of the highest "exhibition" standard. Made only from the juice of Herefordshire grown cider apples, its rich complex aroma and taste is typical of traditional ciders from the region.
 
Cotleigh Barn Owl (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Cotleigh Brewery Ltd, Somerset
 
Traditionally brewed with crystal and chocolate malted barley alongside selected Herefordshire whole hops, this is a copper bronzed ale with hints of toffee and vanilla. The finish is malty and nutty with a gentle sweet finish, a delicious winter tipple.
 
Badger Pickled Partridge (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Hall & Woodhouse, Dorset
 
Badger Pickled Partridge Ale is a deep mahogany/brown beer with great clarity. This English Bitter style beer is balanced in flavour and boasts rich, roasted malt and fruity, citrus hops.
 
Butcombe Original (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Butcombe Brewery, Bristol
Made with only the best Maris Otter malt and blended with a variety of English hops, Butcombe Original is a classic beer with a distinctive bitter and a clean and refreshingly dry flavour.

Cherry Head (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Marston’s Brewery, Burton on Trent
 
Cherry Stout hails its signature tartness from 100% Montmorency cherries. This distinctively tart flavour serves as a counterpoint to the warm, dark chocolate notes from the malt bill. The aroma of chocolate malts, dark fruits and cocoa makes this beer a perfectly sweet winter stout.
 
Ripsaw Maple Red Ale (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Wychwood Brewery, Witney, Oxfordshire
 
This rich red ale features distinct seasonal aromas of grapefruit and peach topped off with a unique maple syrup twist.
 
JHB (Jeffrey Hudson Bitter) Ale (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Oakham Ales, Peterborough
 
With an aroma that is dominated by characteristic citrus notes, this is a light and uniquely refreshing ale. Hops and fruit on the nose are balanced by malt and a bitter base leading to a dry hoppy finish with soft fruit flavours.
 
Woodsetton Pale Ale (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Holden’s Brewery, Dudley
 
A classic Old-English Pale Ale brewed using the finest whole flower hops, adding a ‘moreish’ element to this otherwise fresh, dry palate.
 
Tunnel Vision (500ml)
Available in stores nationwide from 3rd September, while stocks last
Brewed at Box Steam Brewery, Trowbridge
 
This well-rounded light amber bitter is the perfect thirst-quencher. Clean tasting, with a slight bitterness on the finish.

·  Aldi launched its eCommerce platform in January 2016, selling a range of high quality wines and Specialbuys – receiving approximately over 11,000 orders per week.
·  Aldi is the official supermarket partner of Team GB, and has extended this commitment to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
