NEW FOR CHRISTMAS 2017 FROM ALDI

This year, discount supermarket Aldi is expanding their luxury Christmas collection, adding new banquet style meats, shareable salmon starters and hand-finished desserts plus much more, to make the festive period a truly memorable.
 
NEW TO MEATS:
 
New for 2017 is Aldi’s Specially Selected Exquisite Free Range Bronze Turkey Crown (2-3.99kg), which serves 7-11 people and available in store from 19th December. Runner-Up Best Turkey at the 2017 Supermeat & Fish Christmas Awards, this free range British turkey crown is generous, plump, tender and easy to cook and carve. Great price in store.
 
 
Aldi’s Specially Selected British Beef Chateaubriand with a Red Wine Sauce (£9.99, 450g) is renowned for its exceptional tenderness and flavour. The 21-day matured beef fillet is expertly hand-trimmed and made using the finest, most premium cut of beef from the centre of the fillet. Each portion serves two people.
 
 
The wonderfully tender Specially Selected Fresh British Sirloin of Beef with Porcini, Shallot and Truffle Stuffing Melt (1.1-1.8kg) will make the perfect Christmas centrepiece.  On sale from 19th December, the Sirloin Beef is served with a red win jus. Great price in store.
 
 
Aldi’s British Sweetcured Gammon Joint Topped with a Gingerbread Crumb & Golden Gingerbread Glaze (£6.49 per kg) is infused with wonderful festive flavours of ginger, cinnamon and vanilla. Complemented with a ginger spiced crumb and topped with a sweet, rich, sticky golden glaze.  In stores from 14th December.
 
 
The headline-grabbing Specially Selected British Beef Brisket Burrito (£7.99, serves 5) is made with tender, slow-cooked pulled beef brisket in a porcini mushroom sauce, which is then hand wrapped in a fluffy Yorkshire pudding.
 
On sale from 14th December, Aldi’s Specially Selected Outdoor Bred British Pork Cocktail Sausages with Prosecco, Cranberry and Orange, cost a celebratory £1.99 (300g). These succulent bite-size sausages are perfect for giving party spreads a prosecco popping twist. 
 
NEW TO VEGETARIAN:
 
Winners of the 2017 Good Housekeeping Taste Test, the Specially Selected Vegetable Parcels (£1.99, 2 pack) are the ultimate vegetarian main course. Puff pastry parcels filled with Spinach, Leek and West Country Cheddar or Mushroom Trio, the parcels are sure to please any non-meat eaters.
 
On sale from 21st November, Aldi’s colourful and full-of-flavour Specially Selected Vegetable Wellington Slices (£2.99, 2 pack) are made from seasonal vegetables wrapped in a light puff pastry. Choose from Red Cabbage, Mushroom and Chestnut or Butternut Squash, Brie and Cranberry.
 
 
NEW TO FISH CATEGORY:
 
Aldi’s Specially Selected Exquisite Dressed Scottish Side of Salmon is available instore from 19th December. This unique and delicious centrepiece has been prepared exclusively for Aldi by the award-winning Yorkshire smokehouse, Bleikers.  The whole side of oak-roasted Scottish salmon is layered with king prawns, oak-smoked salmon and cream cheese and hand-finished with an edible gold lustre. Great price in store.
 
On sale from 19th December, Aldi’s Specially Selected Scottish Salmon Carpaccio with Basil Marinade, Extra Virgin Olive Oil Vinaigrette and Parmesan shavings (£4.49 160g) will make a tasty starter over the festive period.
 
 
Aldi’s slices of Specially Selected Scottish Smoked Salmon (£3.99 120g) come in two new delicious flavours. Cured with premium Scottish whisky or Champagne and Sicilian Orange Oil, this tasty salmon is available from 12th December.
 
 
 
 
NEW TO DESSERTS CATEGORY:
 
 
If there’s still room, treat guests to Aldi’s Specially Selected Exquisite Salted Caramel & Chocolate Christmas Presents.  Handmade by award-winning bakers in Somerset, each dark chocolate parcel contains its own delicious surprise – a generous serving of Belgian milk chocolate mousse with a hidden salted caramel sauce. On sale from 19th December.  £4.99, 4 pack.
 
 
Available from 14th November and perfect for those who like their mince pies with a twist, the Specially Selected Topped Mince Pies (£1.49 for 4) come in a shortcrust butter crumb pastry and are available with a sweet Florentine or Gingerbread topping.
 
 
For a real festive show stopper, go for Aldi’s Specially Selected Exquisite Chocolate Robin (£9.99, 540g).  This beautiful hand-crafted chocolate robin centrepiece, sitting on a soft slice and share chocolate and hazelnut praline log, is made with the finest chocolate, hazelnut praline and honeycomb. On sale from 7th December, it’s been designed and made exclusively for Aldi by a team of award-winning master chocolatiers.
