Impressing your guests for less is easy with supermarket, Aldi who will be offering the most expensive steak cuts in the world[i], for only £7.99! Aldi’s Specially Selected Wagyu Sirloin Steak and Specially Selected Wagyu Ribeye Steak will be available in stores across the UK on Thursday 26th July, at the amazing price of £7.99 each!  But, you’ll have to be quick, as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Taking their name from the famous Japanese Kobe Wagyu, which can sell for up to £500 a kilo in Japan, the meat is renowned for its distinctive marbling of fat which melts while it cooks, making for a super succulent and tender, melt-in-the-mouth steak.
The Ribeye cut comes from between the rib bones of the bull and is marbled with more fat than most steaks, meaning it offers the boldest flavour. Whilst equally full-of-flavour, the Sirloin cut is slightly denser with a smaller proportion of fat. Both are best cooked on a high heat on a BBQ or frying pan. Also, look out for the other great meat deals in store this week!
