ALDI COVID-19 UPDATE – Aldi announces priority access to stores for emergency workers

Aldi announces priority access to stores for emergency workers

Aldi has announced that, from today (Saturday 28/03/2020), all NHS, Police and Fire Service workers are to be allowed priority access to stores around the clock.

Where store colleagues are limiting the number of customers in store, any emergency workers with a relevant form of ID will be allowed to enter the store as soon as social distancing guidelines permit.

The move means that those who may be finding it hard to shop for groceries due to working long shifts to protect others will not have to wait in queues outside store before being able to buy what they need.

Earlier this week, Aldi announced that it would be opening half an hour early tomorrow (Sunday) morning solely for key workers in the NHS, Police and Fire Service as a thank-you for all they are doing.

All Aldi asks is that workers in those emergency services bring a form of ID, such as an NHS card, whenever they come to store.
