ALDI ANNOUNCES “ADDICTIVE CRISPS” WILL RETURN TO SHELVES

26 June, 2025

Aldi shoppers have been in disarray this week after noticing that the cult favourite Specially Selected Prawn Cocktail Crisps (£1.09, 150g) are no longer on shelves.

Following the news that the beloved crisp flavour had been discontinued, fans took matters into their own hands, flocking to X to express their disdain.

Comments include: What’s happened to these prawn cocktail crisps? Bring them back please!”[1] With others chiming in: “they are addictive!”.

Luckily for Brits, the supermarket has confirmed its Buying Team are working around the clock to bring the beloved crisps back to shelves, with the snack expected to make a reappearance later this year.

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said:We always do our best to listen and meet our customers’ requests. These crisps are clearly a fan favourite, so we are excited to bring the flavour back — watch this space”.

Whilst Aldi can’t confirm an exact on shelf date, shoppers should keep their eyes peeled for the crisps via the supermarket’s website or in store.
