ALDI LAUNCHES BRAND-NEW EL TORO TEQUILA FOR JUST £16.99 WITH CELEB SERVE SUGGESTIONS

This August, Aldi is offering shoppers the chance to bring the taste of Mexico into their homes without the grande price tag with a rare listing of Tequila –  El Toro Tequila (70cl, £16.99).  Following the surge in popularity with the likes of  A-list celebrities such as JLo, who is seen sipping on the spirit in her latest sizzling music video^[1] and George Clooney who has his own Tequila costing a wallet denting £52.95^[2],  Aldi’s brand new launch  allows customers to live the celebrity lifestyle,  but at a fraction of the price – that’s the spirit!

With celebrities getting creative with the Mexican loved spirit, budget supermarket Aldi has curated a host of inventive tequila cocktail recipes that are sure to Tequila shopper’s tastebuds and are certainly worth a shot , 

Craig David – Tequila & Pineapple ^[3]

What’s Your Flava?  Craig David keeps his drink of choice simple, following the shot of tequila, with a chaser of Pineapple juice.

• 50ml Aldi El Toro Tequila (£0.60 per shot)
• 50 ml Aldi Pineapple Juice (£0.69, 100ml) 

Angelia Jolie – Tequila^[4]

Just like Angelina Jolie, the way she drinks her tequila is pretty unimpeachable –  straight. 

Jennifer Anniston – Margartia ^[5]

Another celeb that is known to te-amo tequila is Jen, keeping her drink of choice classic. 

• 50ml Aldi El Toro Tequila (£0.60 per shot)
• 25ml Lime Juice – Aldi Limes (17.8p per lime)
• 20ml Triple Sec 

For the garnish:

Spice up your life with Kylie Jenners fiery tequila cocktail,

• Wedge of Grapefruit
• Tajín (a combination of salt, chili, and lime)

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – Mana Mamarita^[7]

Crafting  up a special recipe, dubbed the Mana Mamarita, The Rock’s  four ingredient recipe was made especially for Mother’ Day 

• 60 ml Aldi El Toro Tequila (£0.60 per shot)
• 30ml Lime Juice – Aldi Limes (17.8p per lime)
• Agave Nectar / honey (to taste) – Aldi Grandessa Squeezy Honey (£1.39)
• A handful of your Mama’s favorite ingredients – get inspired by The Rock’s suggestions and choose one of the  the below pairings: 
  • Muddled raspberries (Aldi’s Natures Pick Rasberries £1.55, 150g) and blackberries (Aldi’s Natures Pick Blackberries £1.49, 150g)
  • Cucumber (Aldi’s Natures Pick cucumber 0.43p), and Jalapenos (Aldi The Deli Sliced Green Jalapeños 0.65p, 210g)
