To make catering for a gluten intolerance easy this Christmas, Aldi has announced an extended range of exciting gluten free products perfect for the big day!
From traditional Christmas turkeys and seafood to delectable trimmings bursting with flavours, the supermarket has plenty of gluten free treats, including some delicious gluten free recipes up its sleeve for those that fancy cooking from scratch.
With Aldi’s sumptuous gluten free mains, there’s no need to compromise on flavour this year. For the ultimate turkey treat, Aldi’s Specially Selected British Roly Poly Stuffed Turkey Crown (serves 4-8, £15.99/kg) is a free-range, RSPCA assured Roly Poly, oat fed turkey crown, stuffed with gluten free pork, cranberry and apple stuffing and topped with British dry-cured streaky bacon. Simply roast in the bag for effortless perfection – winner, winner Turkey dinner! In store 19th December.
Fancy heading down the non-traditional route? Aldi’s showstopping centrepiece; Specially Selected British Free Range Whole Cockerel (£5.95/kg), could be the perfect option. Slow reared for an exceptional taste and fed the finest maize and Omega-3 rich corn to give them a succulent flavour. Aldi’s Specially Selected British Easy Carve Stuffed Duck (serves 5, £14.99, 1.4kg), is also part of the new gluten free range. It’s part deboned for easy carving, with gluten free pork and clementine stuffing, topped with a sweet orange glaze and a candid orange slice. Both are the perfect alternative to turkey this Christmas.
For the seafood and veggie lovers, Aldi has a sumptuous feast lined up. Specially Selected Nut Roast (£2.99) hits all the right notes with a delicious fusion of earthy root vegetables, nuts, herbs and spices. The nut roast comes with either tangy Cranberry sauce (VE) or Camembert sauce (V), in store now. Or Aldi’s impressive Whole Scottish Salmon (£4.95/kg), responsibly sourced and in stores from 19th December.
With the mains sorted don’t forget the all-important trimmings and Aldi has a mouth-watering selection of gluten free options to be enjoyed.
For a taste of luxury, try Aldi’s Specially Selected Truffle Pigs in Blankets (£2.99, 264g). Gluten free pork and truffle chipolatas, wrapped in smoked streaky bacon for the ultimate taste sensation. Available in store 10th December. For those that just can’t get enough, Aldi’s epic gluten free 2 Metre Pig in Blanket (£4.99) means you will never run low on the Christmas favourite. Made exclusively perfectly seasoned pork and bacon, it’s even perfect for those socially distanced gatherings. In store 3rd December.
Finally, no Christmas roast is complete without some stuffing and Aldi’s decadently boozy Merry Sherry Stuffing (£4.99, 375g) is made from 100% British sausage meat topped with smoked pancetta, chestnuts and sherry, beautifully presented in a Mason Cash Dish.
Or, for something slightly more creative try these Luxury Star Stuffing Portions (£2.29, 276g), individual cranberry and orange flavoured Christmas star shaped stuffing made with 100% British pork. Delish! In store 19th December.
