Aldi has today announced it is selling the UK’s cheapest fresh whole turkey this Christmas, available for as little as £6.90 (£3.45 per kg). The supermarket’s golden whole turkeys are Red Tractor certified and packed full of flavour, making them the perfect Christmas dinner centrepiece.

Shoppers are sure to gobble up the saving this year, with a turkey to suit every budget and taste. Aldi’s fresh whole British turkeys won’t be beaten on price. Aldi’s Ashfields Turkey with Giblets is available in three sizes; Small (2kg – 4.49kg, serves 6-11), Medium (4.5kg – 5.99kg, serves 11-14), and Large (6kg – 8kg, serves 15-18).This juicy poultry is accompanied by giblets that add extra rich flavour to customers’ plates. 

Shoppers can enjoy the UK’s cheapest frozen whole turkey from just £2.43 per kg. Aldi’s frozen Oakhurst British Basted Whole Turkey is available in three sizes; Small (2.8kg – 4kg, serves 6-11), Medium (4kg – 5.4kg, serves 11-14), and Large (5.4kg – 7.2kg, serves 15-18). On sale now, the plump bird cooks to a golden brown with crisp skin and rich, melt in the mouth meat.

To accompany their delicious poultry, shoppers can enjoy Aldi’s huge range of award-winning sides this festive season. 

New this year, Aldi’s mouth-watering Loaded Yorkshires (£3.19, 315g) include smokey bacon, rich pork sausage and peppery Cumberland sausagemeat all encased in a crisp and fluffy Yorkshire pudding.

Aldi’s Specially Selected British Cauliflower Cheese (£2.49, 450g) was named ‘Best Seasonal Side’ at the Quality Food Awards[1]. It sees cauliflower smothered in creamy sauce made with Taw Valley Mature Cheddar Cheese.

What’s more, Aldi’s Specially Selected Brussels Sprout Gratin (£2.49, 450g) combines the classic festive veg and shredded kale with a creamy onion and cheese sauce, topped with a pesto crumb – so tasty customers will be sprouting for more! 

A staple for any roast, Aldi’s Good Housekeeping Institute-approved Specially Selected Goose Fat Roasties (£2.49, 800g) can’t be forgotten. The Golden Maris Piper potatoes are covered in goose fat for a perfectly crisp and fluffy roastie.

Customers should flock to stores on 19^th December, when Aldi’s full range of Whole British Turkeys go on sale.
