ORANGE THURSDAY IS BACK!

Last Christmas, over two thirds of the toys were snapped up within just 24 hours

Over 300,000 Kevin the Carrots begin their journeys to over 850 stores in time for ‘Orange Thursday’, 28th November,
Aldi warns fans that once they’re gone, they’re gone

The nation’s favourite cuddly carrot is back, and demand is expected to be higher than ever.

More than 2 million Kevin products began their journeys from Aldi’s depots today, including over 300,000 Kevin soft toys, just in time to hit the shelves in stores nationwide on ‘Orange Thursday’, 28th November.

As over two thirds of the range sold-out within just 24 hours last year, the supermarket has increased the number of Kevin the Carrots for Christmas 2019, with 23 Kevin related products arriving in stores and online.

As the UK goes carrot crazy once again, Aldi is warning fans that despite the increased stock, shoppers need to be quick – as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Carrot fever first swept the nation in 2016 when Kevin made his Aldi screen debut and his popularity has grown from strength to strength ever since.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK comments: “Kevin the Carrot has well and truly rooted himself as a national treasure, with demand for the plush toy range increasing each year. As a result, we have expanded the Kevin the Carrot range, ensuring even more of his fans get a chance to take him home this Christmas.”

The full Kevin the Carrot range will be available to buy in stores from 28th November.
