SHOPPERS RUSH TO STORE AS ALDI BRINGS BACK ITS SELL-OUT  ‘CHAMPAGNE ALTERNATIVE’ JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS

  • Aldi’s Crémant Du Jura is back on shelves for just £8.99
  • Previously compared to Laurent-Perrier by wine enthusiasts, shoppers can save up to £40 compared to the premium Champagne
  • Off the back of its rocketing success, the supermarket is launching a Rosé variant, Specially Selected Crémant de Bordeaux Rosé, available in stores from 6th November

Back by popular demand, Drinks Retailer of the Year1, Aldi has announced it is bringing back its highly commended Specially Selected Crémant Du Jura (£8.99, 75cl) – and shoppers are already stockpiling for Christmas!

Previously compared to Laurent-Perrier by wine enthusiast and TikToker @partnerinwineuk, this Champagne alternative remains a fan favourite amongst shoppers and wine experts alike. Recognised for its excellent quality and great value, and awarded ‘Best Buy’ in Which? Sparkling taste test last year, Aldi’s Crémant Du Jura offers a delicious, yet cheaper alternative to Champagne for shoppers to enjoy this festive season.

In the video, the TikTok user said: “This Crémant Du Jura is made in the exact same way as champagne – the traditional method. Giving it those delicious notes of brioche and toast. It’s also made from 100% chardonnay grapes so expect elegance and freshness and plenty of citrus and fruit flavours”.

What’s more, shoppers can save up to 81% compared to the price of the luxurious price tag, which is on sale for £482. However, shoppers will have to be quick, as fizz fans were already seen stocking up on the popular sparkling as soon as it landed on shelves.
