TOWERING ABOVE THE REST! ALDI LAUNCHES A FOUR-LAYER CAKE MADE OF CHEESE THIS CHRISTMAS FOR JUST £12.99 

Cheese lovers looking for a party centrepiece – or indeed a winter cake – need look no further as Aldi has launched a cake made out of a whopping 1kg of cheese. 

The Cheese Truckle Tower, which is just £12.99, is available in stores nationwide from 8^th December and consists of four layers of Aldi’s most delicious cheeses. The launch comes after Aldi sold record amounts of cheese last Christmas with more shoppers turning to cheese after a meal during the festive season. 

Starting with a sensationally strong 15 Month Extra Mature Coastal Cheddar (400g) at the base, it is then piled with beautifully crumbly Aged Red Leicester (300g). A creamy Wensleydale and Sherry-Soaked Fruits (200g) sits atop that, before being crowned with mouth-watering Mature Coastal Cheddar and Caramelised Balsamic Onion (100g). Guests are sure to be impressed with this showstopping product!  

Aldi’s Specially Selected Winter Chutneys (£1.29. 200g), available in two flavours – Spiced Apple & Pear and the new Fig & Balsamic, partner perfectly with this masterpiece. And Fletcher’s Fine Ruby Port (£7.69, 75cl) provides the perfect boozy pairing, with its notes of raisins, sultanas and chocolate-covered cherries emphasising the tower’s deliciously sweet, rich taste. Both are available in stores now.
