A choco-lotta luck!As shoppers up and down the country continue to search for Aldi’s Golden Giveaway tickets hidden in the Dairyfine Golden Giveaway Chocolate Bar (£4.99, 800g), the first of 25 winners has been found in Nottingham.

Stephen Dowling, aged 67, has claimed a prize of £5,000 after receiving the chocolate bar as a birthday gift from his partner’s daughter, Emily, who purchased the winning chocolate bar from Aldi’s Woodborough Road store in Nottingham. Unbeknownst to Emily, she would be gifting Stephen with a much bigger surprise than she bargained for.

Stephen said: “I couldn’t believe it. I was given the chocolate bar as a humorous gift whilst out for a birthday dinner with family but was surprised to see a golden greeting inside – and what a gift! My family and I are in the process of moving house so the prize couldn’t have come at a better time. Thank you very much Aldi!”

For hopefuls looking to join Stephen in his victory, 24 tickets remain to be found worth £5,000 or £10,000. All shoppers must do to enter is buy one of Aldi’s giant 800g delicious bars of Dairyfine Milk Chocolate. If the bar purchased contains a ticket, the shopper will be eligible to claim the value of the cash prize written on the ticket. They simply need to visit www.aldi.co.uk/goldengiveaway. To claim your prize, please go to www.aldi.co.uk/goldengiveaway and follow the instructions by 11.59 pm on 24 January 2022. You will be required to provide (a) your name and contact details; (b) your date of birth; (c) the unique reference code on your winning ticket;  (d) a photo of your winning ticket; and (e) and proof of purchase. You will then be required to send your original winning ticket to Aldi, and will be sent a stamped addressed envelope for that purpose.
