With the Premier League kicking off earlier than usual this August, it is set to clash with one of the most social times in Brits’ calendars: BBQ season!
To help shoppers host the ultimate football BBQ party whilst cheering on their favourite team (or booing a rival), Aldi has teamed up with foodie influencer, Scott Can Eat, to share a few bargains, with prices starting from 89p.
Tipped as one of Scott’s favourite celebratory BBQ foods, Aldi’s Specially Selected 4 Smoky Top Dogs (£1.99, 400g) are best enjoyed in soft Specially Selected Brioche Hot Dog Rolls (£1.09, 6 pack), alongside Aldi’s Specially Selected Coleslaw (99p, 300g).
For delicious sides, Scott recommends aclassic corn on the cob, like Nature’s Pick Sweetcorn (£1.29, 2 pack) or a delicious Wedge Salad.Scott says: “A good dressing can turn a simple head of iceberg into a great salad.” Simply top an Aldi Nature’s Pick Iceberg Lettuce (55p each) with Specially Selected Creamy Caesar Dressing (99p, 255ml), chopped Nature’s Pick Red Onions (75p, 3 pack) and chopped Specially Selected British Dry Cured Bacon Rashers (£2.19, 240g).
Wash it all down and hydrate after a long match with an ice-cold beer. Refreshing, the Rheinbacher Premium Pilsner (£1.09, 500ml) and Birra Mapelli Premium Lager (£1.29, 500ml) will complement all BBQ food. For a sweeter kick, Aldi’s bestselling Älska premium cider range, is available in two new flavours, Cherry & Raspberry (£1.69, 440ml) and Watermelon & Berries (£1.69, 440ml). Available in stores now, the gluten free and vegan-friendly Scandinavian ciders, offer an intensely fruity combination of summer flavours, with the clean, crisp taste of apples.
