ALDI SHOPPERS CAN RECREATE TRENDING ITALIAN SANDWICH FOR UNDER £1

Shoppers can say ‘ciao’ to a moreish-ly meaty Italian sandwich for under £1 this summer thanks to Aldi.

The supermarket is selling all the ingredients needed to make the trending sensation for as little as 94p per sandwich, available in stores now.

This news comes as Aldi has seen a surge in sales of essential Italian sandwich ingredients, with Italian bread sales in particular being on a roll. While ciabatta sales have seen an impressive 54% rise since this time last week, panini purchases have also increased by a staggering 69%.

Meanwhile, Italian cheeses and cured meats are also flying from Aldi’s shelves, with purchases of both mozzarella and continental meats up by 10% year on year.

Shoppers can find all they need to create a hearty Italian sandwich in the aisles of Aldi, including:
