THE PEEL DEAL – ALDI LAUNCHES MARMALADE SAUSAGES TO ZEST UP BBQ SEASON

A match marmalade in heaven – as Paddington Bear lands on Netflix in his critically acclaimed film ‘Paddington’ Aldi predicts that marmalade is the next big trend to take over our kitchens. So much so that Aldi has launched Specially Selected Flavoured Marmalade Sausages (£0.99 for a pack of six) to its range of 100% British pork sausages. The fruity-ful new flavoured sausages with a sweet marmalade glaze are available in store now, while stocks last.

These mouth-watering pork bangers are perfect for shoppers who may have the wurst case of cravings for both sweet and savoury. Aldi and Paddington aren’t the only ones backing marmalade in unexpected places – Liz Hurley^[i] has been making her own on mass and Jamie Oliver is even adding marmalade to his gravy in his new cookbook ‘Together’.

As temperatures are set to rise over the Bank Holiday, a new Firecracker flavour also joins Aldi’s Specially Selected sausage range for shoppers who prefer not to walk on the mild side. 

The Specially Selected Flavoured Sausages in both Marmalade and Firecracker (£0.99, 400g) are available in stores now, but as with all Specialbuys, shoppers need to be quick as once they’re gone, they’re gone!
