COUNTDOWN TO THE WEDDING OF THE YEAR IS ON – ALDI REVEALS KEVIN AND KATIE’S CHAOTIC STAG AND HEN DO ANTICS AS COUPLE PAINTS THE TOWN ORANGE IN PART TWO OF ITS CHRISTMAS AD

7 November, 2025

  • Part two delivers a fun-packed pre-wedding party for the bride and groom
  • But will Kevin make it back in time following his Stag carrot-ventures? The thrilling final episode awaits

Following their recent engagement, wedding bells are ringing for Kevin the Carrot and his bride-to-be, Katie, but as Aldi’s latest Christmas advert reveals, their journey to the altar is anything but straightforward. This new instalment unwraps a festive spectacle of hysterical stag and hen do celebrations, packed with pure, unadulterated Christmas cheer and a dash of cheeky chaos!

Unveiled on screens today (Friday 7th November), the newest advert immerses viewers in the world of pre-wedding parties. In a nail-biting start, Kevin is found in an unimaginable predicament, strapped to the North Pole in nothing but a mankini, a stark contrast to his unsuspecting fiancée, Katie, who is miles away, enjoying a serene spa weekend.

The narrative unveils some raucous stag do festivities, including losing the groom-to-be, forcing the stags to frantically retrace their steps to ensure he makes it to the altar. Kevin’s bewildered best man, Kelvin the Carrot, faces the unenviable task of making the dreaded call to Katie, famously describing the entire affair as having gone ‘pear-shaped’.

Full of unforeseen challenges and hilarious obstacles at every turn, including mention of a mysterious trip to Lapland, the group must pull off a Christmas miracle to reunite the couple. But the burning question remains, can Kevin and Katie overcome the festive chaos and make it back for what promises to be the wedding of the season?

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “We’re thrilled to unveil the next chapter in Kevin and Katie’s festive love story. We hope shoppers enjoy being brought on the hilariously, if not slightly chaotic, journey in the lead up to their big day. Packed with pure Christmas cheer, a dash of cheekiness, and all the heart our fans have come to expect from Kevin the Carrot, we can’t wait for everyone to stay tuned to see if our beloved groom makes it to the altar!”

Shoppers should stay tuned and make sure they don’t miss the third and final advert to discover if the nation’s favourite carrot couple make it to the altar!

The second episodic advert is available here and on screens from today.

ALDI TO OPEN FIVE STORES IN 24 HOURS

16 December, 2025

Aldi will open five new stores in 24 hours, just in time for Christmas.

The UK’s fourth-largest supermarket, which has more than 1,070 stores, will open new stores in Uxbridge and Old Kent Road in London, as well as Northallerton, Pershore on Thursday 11th December and a new store in Yate, Bristol on Friday 12th December.

Shoppers in these areas will benefit from Aldi’s renowned fresh British produce and its popular range of exclusive Specialbuys. Each one will offer Aldi’s unique combination of award-winning food and great quality products, all at prices that no other UK supermarket can match.

Opening five stores in 24 hours demonstrates the scale and momentum of Aldi’s ambition as it works towards having 1,500 UK stores, bringing its low prices and high-quality products to even more communities.

The retailer, which was recently named Christmas Retailer of the Year for the sixth year running at the Quality Food Awards, is investing £650 million in new openings and refurbishments in 2025 and has committed an additional £1.6 billion over the next two years, supporting the rollout of around 40 new stores each year.

The expansion comes as Aldi was once again named Which? Cheapest Supermarket for November - a title it has held for four consecutive years - highlighting its ongoing commitment to offering unbeatable value.

Together, the five new stores will create around 200 jobs, all offering Aldi’s market-leading pay rates. Aldi also remains the only supermarket to provide paid breaks for all store colleagues, worth nearly £1,475 a year for the average store colleague.

Jon Neale, Real Estate Managing Director at Aldi UK, said: “Opening any new store is exciting, but opening five in 24 hours, just before Christmas, will make a huge difference for customers in each of these areas. It reflects the demand we’re seeing right across the UK and the scale of our ambition as we continue to grow.

“We’re committed to growing in the right places, with the right teams, bringing our low prices and high-quality products to even more communities – and we’re committed to moving as fast as we can to deliver that.”

The Aldi stores opening on Thursday 11th December are:

  • Harefield Road, Uxbridge
  • Old Kent Road
  • North Moor Road, Northallerton
  • King Georges Way, Pershore

And the Aldi store opening on Friday 12th December is:

  • Link Road, Yate, Bristol
