To coincide with National BBQ Week, new analysis has revealed just how much you could be saving by picking up all your BBQ essentials at Aldi.
Research turned up the heat on prices at all major supermarkets and found a basket of 12 staple BBQ items cost £20.80 at the budget supermarket, compared with an average of £25.74 at the Big Four.
That means the same basket of BBQ essentials could cost you an additional 24% by shopping at one of the Big Four, with that gap jumping to 30% at Sainsbury’s.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi: “At Aldi, we’re more committed than ever to our long-standing price promise. With everyone looking at ways to save, why pay a premium at a more expensive supermarket when you can get award-winning quality products for low prices at Aldi?
“That’s why we’re encouraging people not to change their lifestyle, but instead change their supermarket. Whether it’s buying your BBQ essentials or doing your entire weekly food shop, every time you shop with us you will find amazing prices.”
With this in mind, we’ve created a shopping list full of essentials which will help to create the ultimate BBQ for families – all available to pick up at Aldi this week.
Shoppers can cook up their great-value feast on Aldi’s Kamado Ceramic Egg BBQ (£399.99) and Mini Kamado BBQ (£119.99), both available in store and online now.
Aldi is donating essential baby items to charities across the UK in a bid to support new parents in need.
The supermarket will be donating 80,000 items from its Mamia range, including nappies and baby wipes, to charities and foodbanks that help new parents on low incomes.
As Brits continue to look for ways to cut household costs, consumer group Which? has yet again named Aldi as the cheapest UK supermarket. With savings of £12.62 compared to the average Big Four basket, Aldi shoppers can be confident they’re getting the best deal.
