Despite a lack of sunny weather conditions, the supermarket expects sales to jump 35% week on week, as Brits celebrate an extra day off work.

Shoppers will therefore be delighted to learn that the supermarket has slashed the cost of its popular Specially Selected Valdobbiadene Prosecco (75cl) across stores nationwide. Reduced to £7.99 a bottle (originally £8.49), this quality Italian sparkler is favoured for its light, creamy flavour and delicate floral touches.
