ALDI EXTENDS SELL-OUT TV FAVOURITE FLAKE BAKE RANGE WITH NEW JAMAICAN-INSPIRED READY MEALS FOR JUST £3.99

• Previous winner of Channel 4 hit ‘Aldi’s Next Big Thing’, Flake Bake, is expanding its popular range with authentic Jamaican ready meals joining Aldi’s range 

• Shoppers can get a taste of the Caribbean with spicy Jerk BBQ Chicken with Rice & Peas and rich, smoky BBQ Beef with Sweet Potato Mash 

• The brand-new dishes will launch nationwide on 16^th September for £3.99 

Supermarket Aldi is turning up the heat this September, teaming up with Aldi’s Next Big Thing winning supplier Flake Bake to launch a brand-new line of Jamaican-inspired ready meals. 

Following their 2024 TV success, London-based father and son duo, Paul and Mike Williams, saw their Flake Bake Patties land on Aldi’s shelves – and quickly fly off them! More than 100,000 of the Jamaican baked treats sold out within 10 days of launch¹.  

Now, the duo is launching a NEW ready meal offering for the winter season. Landing nationwide from 16^th September, the launch is set to spice up weekday dinners, giving shoppers a quick and easy meal packed with bold flavours, designed to bring a slice of the Caribbean to any table. 

Striking the ultimate balance of sweetness, smokiness and spice is the NEW Flake Bake Jerk BBQ Chicken with Rice & Peas Ready Meal (£3.99, 380g). The dish features succulent chicken thigh generously coated in a warm Scotch bonnet sauce enriched with hints of thyme, pimento, garlic and ginger. Notes of pineapple, orange and lime give the rich sauce a vibrant kick, perfectly complemented by the classic coconut-infused basmati rice and kidney beans. 

For those craving a deeper, savoury profile, the NEW Flake Bake BBQ Beef with Sweet Potato Mash Ready Meal (£3.99, 380g) offers a deliciously rich, smoky-sweet twist. Tender beef is simmered in a generous, fruity-spiced gravy with a gentle Scotch bonnet warmth that builds beautifully on the palate, all balanced by a side of smooth, creamy sweet potato mash. 

This latest launch marks a massive milestone for the family-run bakery.

The brand-new dishes join the existing cult-favourites Flake Bake BBQ Beef Patty (99p, 140g) and Flake Bake Jerk Chicken Patty (99p, 140g), which are already available in stores. 

Aldi’s NEW Flake Bake Ready Meals will be available in stores nationwide from 16^th September.
