ALDI LAUNCHES 0% GINS

• The NEW Greyson’s 0% London Dry and Greyson’s 0% Pink Berries are in stores from 12^th August

With almost half of Britain’s youngest drinkers turning down booze for low or no-alcohol alternatives[2], supermarket Aldi has expanded its offering with two NEW Greyson’s 0% (£8.99, 70cl), available from 9^th September.

Expanding its shoppers’ favourite Greyson’s range, the supermarket is launching a 0% London Dry and a 0% Pink Berries. With the majority of no and low drinkers looking for a similar taste to the alcoholic equivalent[3], these new no-alcohol alternatives are the perfect tipple for those who fancy the refreshing taste of a G&T, but without the hangover!

The Greyson’s 0% London Dry (£8.99, 70cl) is made using only the finest distilled botanicals, providing a bold, juniper flavour, just like the original Greyson’s London Dry Gin. Shoppers can pair it with their favourite tonic water and a wedge of lemon or lime for a refreshing take on the much-loved classic.

For a hint of pink, shoppers can pick up Greyson’s 0% Pink Berries (£8.99, 70cl). The fresh berry flavours and subtle notes of juniper pair beautifully with tonic water and strawberries to garnish, offering a summertime tipple that’s bursting with flavour.

Both have already scooped SILVER medals at the world-famous International Spirits Challenge before even hitting shelves – if that’s not a reason to get excited, we don’t know what is!

Looking for some summer mocktail inspiration? Aldi has two refreshing recipes to impress guests at the next summer barbecue:

0% Greyson’s, Lime & Cucumber Cooler (serves 1)

Ingredients:

• 50ml of Greyson’s 0% London Dry
• Six slices of cucumber, peeled
• One lime, cut into four wedges
• 40ml of The Juice Company Apple Juice
• Six fresh mint leaves
• One teaspoon of The Pantry Granulated Sugar
• Crushed ice

Method:

1. Pour the Greyson’s 0% London Dry and apple juice into a large cup or small bowl. Add the sugar and squeeze in juice of half a lime.
2. Add the mint leaves and cucumber slices and, with the end of a wooden spoon, crush the mint and cucumber slightly to release their flavours.
3. Pour into a glass, add plenty of crushed ice, then drop in the remaining two lime halves and stir.
4. Serve garnished with a sprig of mint.

Raspberry Bee’s Knees (serves 2)

Ingredients:

• 100ml of Greyson’s 0% Pink Berries
• 100g of fresh raspberries
• 30ml of lemon juice
• 20ml of honey
• A few sprigs of fresh mint
• Soda water – optional

Method:

1. Keep roughly six raspberries aside to garnish.
2. Add the remaining raspberries into a cocktail shaker with the Greyson’s 0% Pink Berries, honey, lemon juice, some mint leaves and plenty of ice. Then, shake well.
3. Strain into two glasses and garnish with some extra mint.
4. For a longer drink, top with some more ice and soda water.

Aldi’s Greyson’s 0% London Dry and Greyson’s 0% Pink Berries are available in stores nationwide from 9^th September.
