ALDI LAUNCHES NEW STEAK RANGE FOR FATHER’S DAY

With Father’s Day rapidly approaching, Aldi is set to launch a new range of premium steaks to have father figures across the nation feeling thoroughly treated. In stores from 15th June, the range includes returning shopper favourite, Godfather Rump Steak (£9.99, 794g), the brand new and oh-so luxurious Specially Selected Ultimate Cote Du Boeuf (£29.99, 1kg) andpremium British Wagyu Sirloin Steak (£30.79, 1kg).

In stores from 15th June, the range includes returning shopper favourite, Godfather Rump Steak (£9.99, 794g), the brand new and oh-so luxurious Specially Selected Ultimate Cote Du Boeuf (£29.99, 1kg) andpremium British Wagyu Sirloin Steak (£30.79, 1kg),

The brand new 40 day matured British Specially Selected Ultimate Cote Du Boeuf (£29.99, 1kg) is topped with Cornish sea salt and finished with mustard butter. Aldi shoppers can get a taste of luxury at a fraction of the price of eating the same dish at a restaurant. A 600g Cote Du Boeuf from Black & Blue Steakhouse can set customers back £48[1] – that’s 63% more than the Aldi alternative!

Wine Pairing: Aldi’s award-winning Specially Selected Australian Malbec 75cl, £9.99

A rich, flavoursome red pairs perfectly with dark meats, and compliments the saltiness of the mustard butter.

This cut of meat will join the returning cult classic Godfather Rump Steak (£9.99, 794g) on shelves from 15th June. This deliciously tender British beef is rear-ing to hit the grill – all 28oz of it!

Wine Pairing: Castellore Italian Primitivo 75cl, £5.79

A classic Italian wine will compliment this timeless cut of steak, bursting with sweet berries, this will encourage the rich taste of the rump to come through.

Also joining this range of premium steaks is the returning British Wagyu Sirloin (£30.79, 1kg). Bursting with intensely rich flavour and tender texture, provided by the unique fat marbling of the wagyu meat, this steak is guaranteed to make Dad feel truly treated.

Wine Pairing: Specially Selected Australian Cabernet Sauvignon 75cl, £6.79

A Wagyu steak needs a light, timeless wine as the flavours speak for themselves – a classic Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect pairing for this delicate cut.
