ALDI LAUNCHES NEW WINE THAT TASTES JUST LIKE POPULAR CAMPINO 90s SWEETS

• The Specially Selected Strawberries & Cream Rosé has hints of strawberries and vanilla reminiscent of the discontinued Campino sweets
• Priced at just £7.99 a bottle and in stores NOW as part of the supermarket’s new award-winning Autumn Winter range

Campino fans were left upset after the iconic sweets were axed from UK supermarket shelves. While those who grew up with these red and white swirled sweets might not be able to get their hands on them anymore, supermarket Aldi has an alternative solution – the NEW Specially Selected Strawberries & Cream Rosé (£7.99, 75cl), which tastes just like the nostalgic classic, in wine form.

This rosé is a beautiful coral hue and has aromas of fresh strawberry and ripe red cherry mingled with a delicate hint of vanilla. On the palate, it’s both juicy and dry, perfect for those looking to re-discover ‘the good old days’ through rosé-coloured glasses.

Sam Caporn, Mistress of Wine, explains why the pink-hued tipple is perfect for those who like a sweeter drop:
