ALDI RELEASES NEW SPORTS RANGE – WITH PRICES STARTING AS LOW AS £1.99 

As the excitement for the Paris 2024 Games heats up, Aldi is here to help shoppers go for gold with its unbeatable new range of sports-themed products. Available in stores from 25^th July, these Specialbuys are here to help Team GB and Paralympics GB fans stay on top of their game. With prices so low, be sure to sprint to the nearest Aldi as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone! 

Get ready to smash the competition with Aldi’s new Speed Badminton Set (£12.99), perfect for adults and kids alike thanks to its two size options. Including two sleek, lightweight rackets designed with nylon strings and ergonomic handles, players can be sure they’ll serve up their best game. The set even comes complete with five nylon shuttlecocks in two different speeds, eight plastic cones and a foam ball. 

Aldi is launching it’s Folding Gymnastic Mat (£24.99), which not only helps test budding gymnasts’ flexibility, but its foldable design makes it the perfect partner for home workouts or on-the-go fitness routines, and stores away easily. The range comes as the supermarket launches a Sports Bursary with Team GB and ParalympicsGB to provide much-needed coaching and funding to local teams, schools and clubs, after research reveals two in five sports clubs in the UK are desperately in need of funding.  

Ten winning sports groups will be selected by Aldi and Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes to receive the unique Sports Bursary, which includes a ‘money can’t buy’ coaching session at their club, led by a Team GB or ParalympicsGB athlete to inspire the next generation of athletes. To top it off, they will receive a cash prize of £1,500 to buy bespoke equipment and facilities, and Aldi vouchers, which can be used to purchase products and supplies including sports equipment from its Specialbuys range.  

Aldi’s Sports Bursary is open now until 27^th July. To apply on behalf of a team, club or school, simply send an email to aldisportsbursary@clarioncomms.co.uk outlining your name, age, where your group is located, size of the group, and any social media handles.
