Research by consumer group Which? has found that Aldi is yet again named the cheapest supermarket for a basket of 79 essential items this month.
The total price of a shop at the discount retailer came in at £22.66 less than Morrisons, as well as being cheaper than Sainsbury’s by £22.54, and less expensive than Tesco by £16.64.
What’s more, savvy shoppers could have saved a tasty £48.24 by switching from Waitrose to Aldi – a no brainer for those looking to cut back on their weekly spend.
The new research from Which? marks 18 months that Aldi has been consistently crowned the cheapest supermarket by the consumer champion.
