ALDI WAGYU STEAK BEATS WAITROSE TO BE NAMED PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 

• The award-winning tomahawk steak, named ‘Product of the Year’ for 2024¹ by the Quality Food Awards, is part of Aldi’s biggest ever decadent range of Wagyu products 

• Landing in stores from 19^th December  

The nation’s cheapest supermarket² is launching its biggest ever range of Wagyu products after seeing demand for alternatives to the traditional turkey skyrocket last Christmas.

Named as ‘Product of the Year’, the 100% British Specially Selected Wagyu Tomahawk (£24.99 per kg) beat products from more expensive supermarkets including M&S and Waitrose to claim the top spot at this year’s Quality Food Awards. This showstopping main with its intricately marbled and juicy texture proves shoppers don’t need to break the bank to create an elevated dining experience. 

Hosts can add a touch of luxury to any gathering with the Specially Selected Wagyu Wing Rib (£24.99 per kg) — a delightfully rich and buttery choice that’s a no-brainer for a truly decadent dinner. 

Equally decadent, Aldi’s Specially Selected Peppercorn Crusted Wagyu Picanha (£24.99 per kg) includes a moreish marbling and peppercorn-crusted cut of tender Wagyu that’s bound to have guests coming back for seconds.  

What’s more, Aldi’s Specially Selected Wagyu Sirloin Joint (£29.99 per kg) provides a deliciously tender main course option. Generously seasoned with sea salt and crackled black pepper which forms an indulgent crust once roasted, this sirloin joint will simply melt-in-the-mouth.  

And for the ultimate festive indulgence, Aldi is launching the NEW Specially Selected Wagyu Chateaubriand (£39.99, 750g) to stores this Christmas, offering a crowd-pleasing tenderloin sure to meat and exceed all expectations.  All five Wagyu mains are landing in stores from 19^th December.  

Finally, Aldi is catering for every occasion with its Mini Wagyu Burger Sliders with Cheese and Chimichurri (£4.99, 280g). These are the perfect bite-sized treats to greet guests at any festive gathering from parties to starters on the big day. Featuring the same juicy Wagyu beef and topped with gooey melted cheese or zesty chimichurri sauce, these sumptuous sliders are a taste sensation. Available in stores now.
