Hold onto your tonic, gin lovers! Aldi’s beloved Specially Selected Haysmith’s London Dry Gin (£16.49, 70cl) has been crowned ‘Best in Country’ at the prestigious World Drinks Awards, officially making it the best classic gin in Britain.

The victory solidifies Aldi’s reputation for providing top-shelf quality without the premium price tag, as it’s the only UK supermarket to receive a ‘Country Winner’ accolade for a gin at this year’s awards.

Judges praised the Specially Selected Haysmith’s Seville Orange & Persian Lime Gin (£14.99, 70cl), making it the perfect companion for an afternoon aperitif.

Meanwhile, the popular Specially Selected Haysmith’s Rhubarb & Ginger Gin (£14.99, 70cl) was celebrated for its fresh rhubarb notes complemented by the balance of tart lemon and a warming ginger bite.
