Aldi is set to help Brits keep warm this winter without overspending on energy bills, thanks to the return of its hugely popular Cosy Living range – available in stores nationwide from 14th January.
With products costing as little as 1p to run per hour[1], the range is set to be very popular with customers, with Aldi predicting a likely sell-out on key lines including Multi-Purpose Insulation Wrap and Oil-Filled Radiators[2]. Shoppers better be quick if they want to get their hands on these money-saving must-haves as, as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Already a favourite with Aldi shoppers, the popular Heated Airers are back this year. Featuring a space-saving foldable design, and able to hold nearly 5kg of laundry, the Upright Heated Airer (£79.99) costs less than 9p[3] to run per hour making it an effective, energy-saving alternative to a tumble dryer. For just £34.99 and with 18 heated tubes which rapidly heat up as soon as it’s plugged in, the Heated Airer is also a great choice for those looking to solve their washing woes.
Shoppers looking to dry their clothes fast in the winter can also opt for the Midi Dehumidifier (£89.99) which will extract moisture from inside the house to ensure an optimum temperature for drying clothes. Or pair it with a heated airer for the ultimate drying hack, a trick which fans have already gone wild for on TikTok!
Costing just 1p[4] to heat, Aldi’s selection of Electric Blankets are back, and after almost selling out in the first week last November, these winter must-haves are sure to fly off the shelves again! Made from a soft but durable material the Silentnight Electric Blanket (Single £16.99, Double £19.99, King £24.99) offers three different heat settings and takes just 10 minutes to heat up. It’s an affordable and energy-efficient way to stay warm at night and, thanks to the detachable control, the blanket is even machine-washable for hassle-free maintenance.
Alternatively, shoppers can opt for the Self Heating Mattress Topper (Double £19.99, King £21.99) which keeps the bed warm without using electricity through unique heat-reflecting coils and a thermal lining which reflects body heat back to the sleeper.
Meanwhile, the 3m bubble Radiator Reflector (£12.99) will maximise heat by reflecting heat back into the room minimising heat loss by an impressive 86%[5].
Savvy shoppers can also save on heating bills by using plug-in electric heaters, proven to be cheaper and much more energy efficient than traditional gas heating[6], especially if just one room needs to be heated. Costing just 23p[7] per hour to run, the Oil Filled Radiator (£29.99) is compact and easy to store, featuring an adjustable thermostat and an overheat protection making it a cost-busting must-have this winter.
A no-brainer for customers looking to swap out traditional heating, the Electric Fan Heater (£24.99) has three different heat settings and can heat a space of up to 20m3. It features a built-in handle so is easy to move between different rooms.
