ALDI’S SQUEAKY CLEAN LAUNDRY DETERGENT BRINGS HOME A HAT-TRICK OF WHICH? ACCOLADES

  • Aldi’s own-brand Almat Triple Chamber Bio Laundry Capsules have been awarded Best Buy, Great Value and Eco Buy accolades by Which?
  •  The supermarket scored higher than leading brands Persil and Ariel

Aldi’s laundry range has made a clean sweep in a detergent test by consumer champion Which? as its Almat Triple Chamber Bio Laundry Capsules have officially been named the best washing detergent capsules, beating the likes of Persil and Ariel. The supermarket’s own brand capsules also won the coveted Great Value and Eco Buy accolades.

Shoppers can pick up the award-winning detergent for just £3.29 (20 capsules), that’s 16p per wash – 60% cheaper per wash than Persil!

Following rigorous testing, the Which? panel of experts gave the Almat Triple Chamber Bio Laundry Capsules an impressive 79% score, beating leading brand Persil (62%).

Further demonstrating Aldi’s dedication to giving shoppers great value cleaning solutions for less, three more of its detergents also swept up ‘Great Value’ awards during testing by the consumer champion. The Almat Biological Washing Powder scored an impressive 66%, while the Almat Non-Biological Washing Powder achieved a score of 65% and the Almat Super Concentrated Non-Bio Laundry Liquid was rated at 61%.

Set to return to stores on 4th July, and with prices frozen at £5 for the third year in a row, Aldi is offering parents even more choice for 2024, adding cargo shorts and a cardiganto its bundle for the very first time. With a new 12-month satisfaction guarantee, the range will be available in a choice of colours and sizes from 4-12 years, with shoppers able to pick up two polo shirts, one sweatshirt or cardigan and a choice of trousers, skirt or cargo shorts, for just £5. But families will need to act fast because as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone.
