The UK’s favourite Supermarket, Aldi, has once again come up trumps with Which? – beating the more expensive supermarkets, including Tesco and M&S, in a blind taste test to determine the best sausages.
Despite being the cheapest sausages of the 12 tasted, Aldi’s Specially Selected 6 Pack of Pork Sausages (£1.99, 400g) scored a full five stars for both their ‘strong and succulent pork flavour’ as well as a ‘perfectly appetising colour’. This placed the 100% British bangers joint first with The Black Farmer’s sausages, and the top accolade of ‘Best Buy’.
The news comes after Aldi was crowned overall cheapest supermarket for Easter by Which? earlier this week.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, said: “We know we offer amazing quality at everyday prices, but to hear consumers agree is always really reassuring. With the nation set to dust of their BBQs and enjoy the sunshine this Easter weekend, we’re delighted to be able to offer shoppers the best quality sausages at the lowest price from Aldi.”
Supermarket Aldi has just launched the ultimate indulgence for the festive season - the NEW Specially Selected Truffle Flavoured Butter (£1.59, 110g), and it’s sending Aldi shoppers into a frenzy. Users of the Aldi Shoppers UK Facebook Group have been singing the praises of the luxurious new spread which has just landed in stores, with one exclaiming ‘this truffle butter is amazing’ and another commenting ‘at £1.59, that’s really cheap!’
AND IT INCLUDES A PIGS IN BLANKETS YORKSHIRE PUDDING WRAP!

Shoppers on the hunt for the ultimate festive side are in luck, as along with some returning favourites, Aldi is welcoming brand-new additions to store this Christmas, including a quirky Pigs in Blankets Yorkshire Pudding Wrap.
