Back by popular demand, Which? Cheapest Supermarket Champion[1], Aldi, has announced the return of its beloved Taurus Cherry Cider (£3.49, 4 x 440ml); available in stores nationwide from 9th September.
Made with British apples with sweet cherry notes on the finish, the own-label cider has been noted as a shopper favourite. Many have hailed it as a go-to product among the wider Aldi offering and have described the cider as “lush” on Facebook group, Aldi Shoppers UK.
Shoppers were devastated to find out that the flavoured cider had been discontinued earlier this year, with fans asking across social media where the cider had gone; one posting on X, asked: “@AldiUK is it true that your cherry cider has been discontinued?”.
The good news is, after a brief hiatus, Aldi listened to its devoted fans and is bringing back this orchard-inspired delight.
But the exciting beverage news doesn’t stop there. The supermarket has also scooped up two award-winning accolades at this year’s World Cider Awards.
Its Taurus Blood Orange Cider (£3.49, 4 x 440ml) was awarded a notable SILVER medal[2], while the Island’s Premium Apple Cider (£3.49, 4 x 440ml) achieved a commendable BRONZE[3] after impressing experts on the judging panel.
Aldi’s Taurus Cherry Cider is available in stores from 9th September. Island’s Apple Ciders is available in stores from 11th November. Taurus Blood Orange is available in stores now.
