ALDI REVEALS TIK TOK INSPIRED GIN SLUSHIE RECIPE FOR ULTIMATE BBQ FUN

What happens when Aldi’s three new sorbet flavours collide with its gin-credible new flavoured spirits? This year’s viral TikTok gin slushie trend and the ultimate summer beverage of dreams.

Tik Tok profiles across the globe showcased the infamous ‘White Claw Slushie’[1] in summer 2020. Fast forward a year and there’s a new cocktail kid in town. According to the viral video platform, the gin slushie craze is only just about to be-gin-ning, and Aldi has all the essentials to help shoppers build this delicious and refreshing summer 2021 viral trend[2]. 

Shoppers can pick up Aldi’s new vibrant Gianni Sorbet flavours in one of two awesomely affordable sizes, £1.69 (500ml) and £2.49 (1L). Available in zesty Lemon, punchy Raspberry and sweet Mango, in store from Thursday 8^th April.

These punchy new flavours can be combined with a splash of something ‘just for grown-ups’ with one of the brand-new additions to Aldi’s Haysmith’s Flavoured Gin range, from just £14.99 or the Infusionist Gin Liqueur range from £8.99. Cocktail lovers need just the two essential ingredients, a scoop of crushed ice, a touch of lemonade and a blender – and a sunny Satur-yay of course!

For a taste of the tropics, why not try a grown up slushie in the form of a Tropical Mango Surprise. Combine Gianni’s Punchy Mango Sorbet (from £1.69) with the Haysmith’s Mango & Passionfruit Gin (£14.99) for the perfect blend of frozen and fruity deliciousness.

For the zest way to celebrate a sunny weekend, embrace the Luscious Lemon gin slushie.  Marry Gianni’s Lemon Sorbet (from £1.69) with the Infusionist Lemon Drizzle Cake Gin Liqueur (£8.99) for a tangy taste of citrus flavour that’ll trickle down a treat on a summer’s afternoon.

Or, for the sweet toothed shoppers in need of a fruity fix, embrace the Sweet Berry Blitz. Gianni’s Raspberry Sorbet (from £1.69) plus Haysmith’s Blackberry & Raspberry Bramble Gin (£14.99) for a sweet and flavoursome berry heaven.

Shoppers can enjoy uploading fruity creations onto social platforms to join this year’s viral slushie revolution – or simply sip away in the sun with this bang on trend refreshing beverage!

The Gianni Sorbet will be available in 1L (from 12^th April) and 500ml (from 20^th April) in selected Aldi stores across the UK, or shoppers can order via Click & Collect on the Aldi website.
