FIREBALD! ALDI ‘REBRANDS’ AS BALDI TO HELP FANS GET READY FOR PITBULL’S BST HYDE PARK PERFORMANCE AND WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT

• Aldi joins fans celebrating the ‘Pitbull effect’ with a one-day-only Baldi stand 

• The supermarket will set up its Baldi stand outside Hyde Park this Friday, giving out the ultimate Pitbull essentials 

• Baldi staff will be handing out free bald caps, aviator sunglasses, temporary tattoos and ready-to-drink cocktail cans to celebrate the occasion 

• The activation is in support of BST Hyde Park and Pitbull’s attempt to break the world record for the largest crowd wearing bald caps 

Aldi is giving itself a temporary makeover this Friday to mark Pitbull’s appearance at BST Hyde Park, unveiling a Baldi merchandise stand for fans.  

In celebration of Pitbull’s headline performance, the Baldi stand will help fans channel their inner Mr. Worldwide as part of an attempt to break the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. 

The stand will be giving away bald caps, aviator sunglasses and temporary tattoos, alongside Aldi’s Infusionist and Stefanoff ready-to-drink cocktail cans, all for free.   

Festivalgoers will be able to spot the stand outside Hyde Park this Friday and help themselves to the dress-up items, as well as ice cold cocktails before entering the venue.  

With its ‘Baldi’ logo and ‘Firebald’ banner, the pop-up stall will catch the attention of passers-by, acting as a hilarious photo opportunity for Pitbull fans before they enter the festival.  

The stand is expected to be extremely popular as Pitbull fans pitch in to contribute to the world record attempt this Friday. As Mr. Worldwide himself has mentioned that he wants to break the Guiness World Record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps at his show, there are expected to be flocks of people hoping to get their hands on a bald cap or pair of sunglasses to complete their look.  

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “When we heard that Pitbull and his fans were attempting this world record at BST Hyde Park, we knew we had to get involved and show our support with Baldi.  

“The stall will be on hand to help fans transform into Mr. Worldwide, so if you’re in need of a bald cap or aviators to complete your look, keep an eye out for Baldi as you make your way to the festival.”  

The Baldi stand will be outside the BST Hyde Park on Friday 10^th July, while stocks last.
