Remember the good old days, when a simple sprinkle of sugar on bread made the perfect lunch? Or those adored biccies back at school, washed down with a glass of cold milk? No need to reminisce any further as, this January, Aldi is stepping in to help revive nostalgic memories with the return of previously discontinued Elkes Sports Shortcake Biscuits (£0.79, 200g).
The biscuits which feature different sporting activities, including cycling and cricket, were a favourite for kids growing up in the 80s, before being discontinued around two years ago. Outraged shoppers even took to the internet with a petition to ‘Save the Fox’s Sports Biscuits!’ in a bid to get them back on shelves.
Aldi will now be the first retailer to put the biscuits back on shelves and bring back the deliciously dunkable biscuit, pleasing fans up and down the country.
Elkes Sports Shortcake Biscuits will be available to pick up in stores from 21st January.
Shoppers looking to bag the best value chocolate bunny this Easter need look no further than Aldi’s Specially Selected Chocolate Bunny (100g). Reduced from today to just £1.19, from its original price of £1.69.
Aldi’s popular chocolate bunny is every bit as delicious as it is adorable - and is now a w-hopping 68% cheaper than the Lindt1 version (£3.75, 125g).
