This summer, Aldi is set to elevate wine lovers’ shopping lists with the launch of a rare and award-winning sparkling wine – the Unearthed Sparkling Frappato, priced at just £8.49 (75cl). Available in stores nationwide now, this Sicilian gem brings a touch of Mediterranean elegance to Aldi’s shelves, perfectly timed for the supermarket’s much-anticipated Italian Week. 

Crafted exclusively from Frappato, a rare black grape variety native to Sicily’s volcanic soils, this stunning salmon-pink Spumante delivers a refreshing blend of soft red fruit flavours and subtle spice. Its crisp, clean finish makes it the perfect companion for summer gatherings, whether it’s an al fresco dinner, a sunlit picnic, or simply a golden-hour toast.
