READY, SET, BAKE! ALDI BRINGS BACK ITS POPULAR PASTEL KITCHEN RANGE FOR EASTER

Aldi is serving up a treat for home cooks as its much-loved pastel kitchen range makes a triumphant return just in time for Easter feasting. From whisking up fluffy sponges to kneading hot cross bun dough, shoppers can get their bake on in style.  

Leading the line-up is the eggs-traordinary Classic Stand Mixer (£29.99), available in yellow or pink – giving 2026’s hottest kitchen trend a colourful twist2. Packed with an 800W motor, eight speed settings and a generous 5-litre bowl.  

Complete with dough hook, flat beater, whisk and splash guard, this Easter hero is an absolute steal, but in true Aldi Specialbuy style, once they’re gone, they’re gone.  

For added convenience during any Cake Off–worthy challenge, the matching Hand Mixer (£12.99) features five speed levels, two stainless steel mixing paddles and dough hooks. Pair it with the equally essential Food Chopper (£9.99) to make light work of prepping fillings, toppings and decorations. 

The pastel theme continues across the Essential Bakeware range. Available in coordinating pastel green, the collection includes a baking sheet, loaf tin, sandwich tin, muffin tray, cake tin or square tin, each priced at just (£2.49 each), perfect for everything from technical challenges to showstopping centrepieces. For a more traditional touch, the Stoneware Batter and Mixing Bowls (£8.99 each) come in pastel green, violet or pink, each finished with a delicate spring-inspired floral design. 

To elevate Easter bakes even further, the Easter Baking Assortment (£2.49 each), available in pastel pink or blue, features a curated selection of decorative tools designed to add those all-important finishing touches. Ideal for everything from Easter entertaining to gifting, the assortment includes Easter-themed moulds, cookie cutters and an engraved rolling pin.

Bonus for bakers: Aldi’s Ultimate Chocolate Cake Recipe  

Aldi has created an Easter-themed Chocolate Cake recipe designed to put its pastel kitchenware and home bakers to the test. 

Makes: 1 x two-layer cake (serves 6) 

Prep: 30 mins | Bake: 40 mins  

Ingredients 

  • 125g The Pantry plain flour 
  • 125g The Pantry caster sugar 
  • 125g Greenvale Perfect for Baking – chopped into small cubes 
  • 3 x medium eggs 
  • 125g Dairyfine Dark Chocolate 
  • 300ml Double cream 
  • 100g Choceur White Chocolate 
  • 50g Dairyfine Milk Chocolate 
  • 50g Choceur Belgian Dark Chocolate 
  • 20g Cowbelle Unsalted Butter 
  • 2 x 20cm low cake tins 

Method 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180˚C/350˚F/Gas Mark 4. 
  1. Line the base of the Essential Bakeware cake tins with greaseproof paper and lightly grease the sides. 
  1. Break up the Dairyfine dark chocolate and put in a small saucepan with the Perfect for Baking and melt over a gentle heat. 
  1. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of caster sugar until they are stiff. 
  1. Using a separate Stoneware Mixing Bowl whisk the egg yolks with the caster sugar until pale. 
  1. Fold in the flour and then gently stir in the melted chocolate mixture. 
  1. Divide between the two tins then bake for 15 minutes until firm to the touch. 
  1. Allow to cool then remove from the tins. 
  1. Break up the white chocolate, put in a heatproof bowl and put over a pan of simmering water to melt the chocolate, making sure the base does not touch the water. 
  1. Whip 200ml of the double cream. 
  1. When the white chocolate has melted, mix in with the whipped cream then put in the fridge to cool and set. 
  1. When firmer, spread on the top of one of the cakes then put the other cake on top. 
  1. Now melt the dark Belgian chocolate along with the unsalted butter and 50ml cream over a pan of simmering water, again making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. 
  1. When melted spread over the top of the cake, this hasn’t got to be neat, some swirls are good. 
  1. Then melt the milk chocolate and 50ml cream as above, when melted drizzle over the top of the dark chocolate. 
  1. Allow to set then serve.
