TIME FOR A TINNY! ALDI LAUNCHES BIGGEST EVER RANGE OF WINE AND COCKTAILS IN A CAN STARTING FROM AS LITTLE AS 85P

• The two wine cans join 11 other ready-to-drink cocktails on Aldi shelves from 15^th March

With outdoor gatherings soon to be back on the agenda and temperatures starting to creep up, Aldi has launched an exciting range of canned beverages – the ideal addition to a park picnic, BBQ or spring walk!

Joining a selection of vodka, rum and gin flavoured RTD options on shelf from 15^th March is an Aperini Spritz (250ml) and Austin’s Summer Punch (250ml) – Aldi’s answer to Pimms & Lemonade – both costing just 85p! The tins shoppers may be most looking forward to though are Aldi’s brand-new canned wines: Pinot Grigio Fizz Can (£1.49, 20cl) and the Rosé Fizz Can (£1.49, 20cl).

Canned wine has been surging in popularity over the last few years, with UK sales up 125% YOY[2]. Now Aldi has white and rosé sparkling wine cans designed to delight the tastebuds that shoppers can get their hands on for less than £1.50.

What’s not to love about Pinot? Especially when it comes in packaging that is convenient, light-weight and easy to recycle. Aldi’s Pinot Grigio Fizz is a classic white wine spritzer, perfectly appetising and refreshing for any outdoor scenario. While lovers of rosé are sure to be fizzing over the gorgeous Rosé Fizz, this Italian beverage is a soft, fruity and light sparkling wine which is easy to drink on any Spring day. What’s more, it’s 30% cheaper than Sainsbury’s!

These desirable sparkling wines are joined on shelf by Aldi’s biggest ever range of canned cocktails. The new selection, which will be ready to crack open ahead of Easter weekend, is launching after Aldi saw sales of canned alcoholic drinks grow by over 50% last year[3].

11 different varieties will be joining Aldi’s already popular Greyson’s G&T cans, meaning there’s something for all tastebuds:

Austin’s Summer Punch with Lemonade Can (250ml, £0.85)

No need to wait for Wimbledon, Aldi’s Austin’s Summer Punch is guaranteed to go down a treat at any outdoor meet up! A quintessential British summer drink, synonymous with garden parties and picnics, this beverage is a recipe of fruity notes, caramelised orange and citrus with a savoury spice.

Aperini Italian Spritz (250ml, £0.85)

Signalling the start of summer, this classic Italian Spritz is perfect to crack open on a warm beautiful day. This no fuss can is mix of sparkling white wine and fragrant orange bitters to create a drink which is crisp, bubbly and bittersweet!

Greyson’s Pink Gin & Diet Tonic Can (250ml, £0.85)

Fans of the Greyson’s Pink Gin & Tonic can now get their favourite tipple in a slimline form! A light and refreshing G&T, this RTD is perfectly mixed with pink berries, dry gin and slimline tonic to create an elegant and smooth taste which is easy on the waistline.

Haysmith’s Pink G&T (250ml, £1.19)

The ever Instagrammable millennial pink hue, this Pink G&T is perfectly balanced with a delicate sweet and fruity taste and a lasting citrus, raspberry and redcurrant flavour. Delish! Aldi expects this RTD to be a favourite amongst shoppers, as rosé tinted G&Ts show no sign of sloe-ing down, so make sure to get in there quick!

Haysmith’s Seville Orange & Persian Lime G&T (250ml, £1.19)

Elegantly smooth and complex, this refreshing G&T offers notes of zesty citrus orange followed by sweet lime.

Haysmith’s Rhubarb & Ginger G&T (250ml, £1.19)

This tipple is a decadent combination of sweet, spicy and fruity, with a warming taste of fiery ginger, finishing with juniper and citrus – heaven in a tin!         

Haysmith’s London Dry G&T (250ml, £1.19)

A classic botanical choice perfect for all year round, this popular tin is a pre-mixed G&T filled to the brim with bright citrus and juniper flavours. What’s more, it’s mixed with cucumber & elderflower tonic water – pleasingly refreshing!

Tamova Passion Fruit Martini (250ml, £0.85)

Inject some passion this Spring with Aldi’s Tamova Passion Fruit Martini; a silky smooth and fruity cocktail which contains a delicious blend of sweet flavours infused with vodka.

Tamova Cosmo Mojito (250ml, £0.85)

A popular cocktail amongst mojito connoisseurs, Aldi’s Cosmo Mojito is perfectly pre-mixed for those looking for sophistication and style in one.

Old Hopking Raspberry Mojito (250ml, £0.85)

Expertly blended with a gorgeous mix of raspberry and white rum, this mojito is full of flavour and ideal to take on the go.

The new RTD range will be available online from 22^nd March and for those wanting to stock up, you will be able to order 24 cans at once – nice!
