Breakfasts made vegan! Supermarket Aldi is set to bring its line of vegan pastries back to shelves from 11th August following popular demand. Flaky favourites including delicate croissants, indulgent pain au chocolat and chocolate brioche rolls are among the mix. For just £1.75 they are also the cheapest supermarket option available.

The Plant Menu Vegan Croissants (£1.75, 8 pack) are perfect on their own, but can provide the ideal canvas for additional toppings. Shoppers can add the Specially Selected Classic Strawberry Jam (£1.25, 340g) or Specially Selected Seville Orange Marmalade (£1.25, 340g) for a result that rivals those on the streets of Paris.

What’s more, shoppers can save 38% at Aldi compared to Waitrose’s vegan croissants (£2.85[1]) or 20% compared to Sainsbury’s (£2.20[2]).

Aldi is also bringing back its Plant Menu Vegan Pain Au Chocolats (£1.75, 8 pack) packed with non-dairy chocolate between flaky layers, with a gooey melted middle when served warm, as well as the delicious Plant Menu Vegan Choc Chip Brioche Rolls (£1.75, 8 pack).

Aldi’s full range of Plant Menu vegan pastries are available in store and via Click & Collect from 11th August, but as with any Specialbuy once they’re gone, they’re gone!
