Aldi has announced the launch of a very special edition of its Infusionist Gin range, a British Strawberry & Mint Gin Liqueur (£13.99/70cl) that lights up and shimmers, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and pay tribute to Britain’s longest reigning Monarch. What’s more, Aldi’s low-cost version is over £2 cheaper than a similar product from M&S. 

The Queen is known to be partial to a gin¹, so it seems only right to launch a special jubilicious tipple in commemoration of the historical anniversary. Encapsulating the taste of a picture-perfect British summer, the new liqueur boasts flavours of jammy British strawberries, with a hint of mint to balance. Delicious served with tonic, an orange garnish and plenty of ice for a classic Jubilee G&T. 

Unlike its M&S alternative, Aldi’s regal gin liqueur is presented in a sparkling light-up bottle, creating a festive red, white, and blue glow, as well as platinum-coloured flakes that sparkle in the sun – the perfect centre piece for street and garden parties. Not only will shoppers celebrate in style, but they could also save 13% compared to shopping at M&S. Lovely jubilee!
