Brits in need of a takeaway fix whilst enjoying the Euros should look no further than Aldi’s latest Carlos launches, which include a selection of takeaway style pizzas, available in three new flavours – Cheese Feast, Double Pepperoni and Meat Feast, and up to 84% cheaper than the Domino’s alternative.
The new Carlos Takeaway Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza (£3.29, 670g) is a cheese lover’s dream with a crust stuffed to the brim with gooey cheese and topped with mild cheddar, mature cheddar, mozzarella, and Red Leicester – creating the perfect cheese pull.
Meat eaters can enjoy one of the mighty meaty pizzas; Carlos Takeaway Stuffed Crust Double Pepperoni Pizza (£3.29, 679g), which is topped with smoky pepperoni, mini pepperoni pieces and mozzarella cheese, or the Carlos Takeaway Fully Loaded Meat Feast Pizza (£3.29, 510g), topped with mozzarella, pepperoni, meatballs and ham – a meat lover’s dream! Coming to stores on 9th June.
The cheese feast and double pepperoni come with a gooey cheesy stuffed crust, and all three delicious new pizzas are served in a takeaway style box and are up to 84% cheaper than from Domino’s, which start at £16.98[2].
What’s more, no pizza order is complete without a side of garlic bread or a creamy garlic dip. The Carlos Takeaway Garlic Pizza Bread (99p, 145g) and the tangy Garlic & Herb Dip (49p, 100g) is also available in Aldi. Both of which bear a notable likeness to the Domino’s version but at just a slice of the price.
Aldi customers have been raving about both, with some social media posts racking up thousands of comments from people who couldn’t believe how much the dippy delight looks and tastes like the one from the popular takeaway joint, which costs more than double the price (£1.19)[3]. One satisfied shopper on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK said: ‘I personally thought it tasted exactly the same as Domino’s’, while another added: ‘Best dip I’ve had in ages!! I need to get more.’
For those with a sweet tooth for desserts, the Carlos Takeaway Chewy and Gooey Cookies (£1.49, 4pc) will hit the spot! Inspired by Domino’s, except a good chunk cheaper than its £4.49 version[4], these moorish cookies are an indulgent combo of creamy cookie dough and chocolate chips – best served warm, with ice cream.
No matter which way you slice it, Aldi shoppers could save themselves a slice and a half at just £12.84 for the whole menu, compared to the Domino’s price of over £66 – a whopping 80% saving for Aldi shoppers to get their Friday night takeaway fix.
Aldi’s Carlos Stuffed Crust Takeaway range is available in stores now, with the Carlos Takeaway Fully Loaded Meat Feast Pizza arriving in stores on 9th June.
