As sales of novelty Easter eggs are set to soar in 2022, supermarket Aldi has released a plethora of deliciously quirky chocolate treats. From ice cream cones to popcorn eggs, there’s plenty of unusual designs for shoppers to get their hands on this Easter.
For a fun twist on a traditional Easter egg, shoppers can try the NEW award-winning Dairyfine Ice Cream Eggs (£6.99, 215g). Available in a scoop of Milk or Strawberry Chocolate, both flavours come in a delicious blonde chocolate and wafer cone with a popping candy surprise filling at the end.
Another quirky new addition is the Dairyfine Popcorn Egg (£3.99, 180g), available in both Sweet and Salty flavours. The Sweet Popcorn Egg features a Belgian milk chocolate shell with sweet popcorn topped with blonde chocolate coated honeycomb and crunchy mini eggs, drizzled in white chocolate. Whilst the Salty Egg features a Belgian milk chocolate shell with salted popcorn topped with pretzels, crunchy mini eggs and drizzled in a delicious blonde chocolate.
Also new for 2022 is the Moser Roth Almond Egg (£5.99, 250g), made from Belgian milk chocolate, smooth almond butter, dipped in dark chocolate and covered with chunky almond pieces – it’s definitely one that shoppers can go nuts for.
Aldi’s letterbox-friendly Chocolate Egg Slab (£3.99, 120g) comes in three delicious options: White & Blonde Chocolate, Dark Chocolate with Raspberry, and Milk & White Chocolate. The flavours are combined with a smooth swirl, each one decorated with a scattering of tantalising fruity or nutty pieces for the ultimate chocoholic dream.
Back by popular demand is the Moser Roth Chocolate Lovers Duo Egg (£5.99, 290g). It comes in delicious combinations of Milk Chocolate, White & Blonde Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate. Whilst Aldi’s Moser Roth Geometric Eggs (£2.99, 120g) are a gorgeous option for those looking for a twist on a classic Easter egg. Available in sweet ruby, golden blonde or NEW luscious dark milk chocolate.

Aldi is spreading the festive cheer and bringing together local communities by donating Christmas lunches to those in low-income areas across the UK.
Britain’s fourth-largest supermarket is working in partnership with Company Shop Group to provide free Christmas dinners at Community Shops in the run-up to Christmas.
Aldi has announced when its stores will be open over Christmas and New Year.
From Monday 18th December to Saturday 23rd December, shoppers can visit Aldi stores between 7am and 10pm to pick up everything they need to celebrate Christmas, at the lowest possible prices.
