ALDI LAUNCHES ITS BEST RANGE OF CHRISTMAS DESSERTS YET

Aldi has unveiled a new range of indulgent desserts set to delight shoppers and finish festive dinners in style. Along with some returning favourites, including the Smash Dome Cake, shoppers can expect to find new delicate Ganache Pinecones, a fabulously chocolatey Semi-Freddo Igloo, a showstopping Ganache and even a vegan dessert! The new range will be available in stores from 6^th November onwards.

Brand-new for 2023 is Aldi’s Double Chocolate Semi-Freddo Igloo (£6.99, 620g), a sweet extravaganza with a creamy semi-freddo mousse, filled with layers of chocolate and chewy meringue. Charmingly presented as an igloo, this frozen dessert is finished off with an adorable milk chocolate penguin friend. Available from 6^th November.

Another showstopping centrepiece to finish off any Christmas feast is Aldi’s new Specially Selected Millionaire’s Filled Bauble (£7.99, 500g). This Belgian chocolate bauble shaped delight is filled with decadent brownie bites, biscuit crumb, white chocolate stars, chocolate mousse and a velvety salted caramel sauce. Available from 6^th November.

For those after something a little more bitesize, the brand-new gooey Specially Selected Ganache Pinecones (£3.99, 200g) are devilishly moreish and available in two flavours. Shoppers can choose between milk chocolate and sea salt or blonde chocolate and caramel, both boasting a smooth ganache base with a delicious centre oozing with sauce, encased in a life-like pinecone finish, studded with delightful biscuit balls. Available from 8^th December.

Brand new to shelves this festive season is the Specially Selected Showstopper Ganache (£6.99, 400g and 450g). Dessert lovers can choose between two decadent flavours, rich Belgian milk chocolate and hazelnut, or blonde and Belgian white chocolate, both filled with layers of creamy mousse, gooey ganache with crunchy biscuit balls. The white and blonde chocolate is presented in a row of adorably quaint festive cottages, doubling up as a decoration as well as a delicious treat! Available from 21^st December.

Aldi has got a special treat for cheesecake lovers this year with its new Novelty Cheesecakes (£3.99, 450g). Available in two fun designs, a vanilla cheesecake with a chocolate reindeer on top and a chocolate cheesecake adorned with a white snowflake, they are the perfect choice for a post-Christmas dinner treat. Or for a slightly bigger centrepiece, shoppers can opt for the Specially Selected Billionaire’s Cheesecake (£8.99, 910g). A delicious digestive biscuit base topped with creamy cheesecake, caramel sauce, chocolate ganache and cocoa dusting. Finished with elegant milk chocolate shards. Both available from 19^th December.

Also new for this year is Aldi’s Specially Selected Vegan Cookie Pot (£4.99, 465g) – the ultimate chocolatey vegan dessert to enjoy this Christmas. Available from 19^th December.

The Novelty Macarons (£3.49, 6 pack) are back this Christmas, this time with an adorable new Elf character. These make-your-own almond-based treats come as a choice of Chocolate Reindeer or Vanilla Elf Macarons and are fun for all the family! Available from 8^th December.

Back by popular demand and a bestseller from last year, the Specially Selected Panna Cotta Star (£8.99, 900g) will be back on shelves from 21^st December. A refreshingly light raspberry jelly topped with a smooth and creamy Madagascan vanilla panna cotta made using British cream. Made extra tempting with its sweet raspberry coulis and a light sprinkling of glitter, this star-shaped dessert makes for a perfect dazzling centrepiece.

Also back by popular demand, Aldi’s Specially Selected Smash Dome Cake (£14.99, 1kg) is a cake lover’s dream with a showstopping twist! A layered chocolate cake is topped with a Swiss chocolate dome that once smashed will reveal luxurious chocolate ganache and indulgent sweet treats. Available from 10^th December.

Nothing says tradition like Aldi’s Specially Selected Yule Log (£8.99, 825g). Hand-rolled with fresh, Belgian chocolate ganache, crisp chocolate shavings and glitter dust, this staple dessert is a must have for any festive dining table or Christmas party spread. Available from 21^st December.
