Supermarket Aldi is excited to announce its first-ever range of Vermouths, in stores from 12th November. Priced at just £7.49 per 1litre bottle, shoppers can save an incredible 36% compared to similar products, such as Martini Bianco Vermouth[1] which has 25% less liquid.
According to recent research, Vermouth is back in fashion. The fortified wine, flavoured with herbs and spices, is experiencing a resurgence as aperitif occasions and low-alcohol spritz-style serves grow in popularity.[2]
The botanical tipple was also thrown into the spotlight when House of the Dragon actress, Emma D’Arcy revealed a Negroni Sbagliato, featuring vermouth, was her favourite cocktail – a clip that has since racked up 95M views on TikTok.
Rich and full-bodied, Aldi’s Vermouth Rosso balances herbaceous flavours with sweet dark fruits – perfect for pre-dinner Negronis or the viral Negroni Sbagliato. Alternatively, shoppers can enjoy chilled, on ice with a splash of soda, wedge of orange and an olive.
Those that prefer a Dry Martini or Manhattan will love Aldi’s new Vermouth Blanc. Bursting with fresh green herbs, honey, and citrus, it’s perfect as part of a crowd-pleasing cocktail, or served with a big splash of tonic and lemon or orange peel garnish.
Aldi’s NEW Vermouth Blanc (£7.49, 1L) and Vermouth Rosso (£7.49, 1L) will be available in-stores from 12th November.
