If you like Piña Coladas… then don’t get caught in the rain and instead head to Aldi! Pioneering yet another UK supermarket first, Aldi is launching the first ever Piña Colada in a box – the Old Hopking Bag in Box Piña Colada Cocktail (2.25L, £9.99).
The Piña Colada is Puerto Rico’s official national drink which gained worldwide fame thanks to Rupert Holmes’ 1979 hit Escape (The Piña Colada Song) and has been voted the UK’s favourite cocktail this summer.
With boxed cocktails on track to be the hottest 2021 trend for ready to drink offerings, following a 15.8% increase in sales in the last 12 months, this fruity pre-made cocktail delivers exotic notes of pineapple, coconut, and cream showing that Aldi is once again thinking outside the box. Giving shoppers a taste of tropical paradise right from their garden this fruity cocktail launches just in time for the upcoming August heatwave.
Making up to an impressive 15 cocktails, at a staggering 66p per glass, Aldi’s rumtastic box is the go-to bank holiday party tipple, sure to have guests ruming for more!
The new Old Hopking Bag in Box Piña Colada Cocktail will be launching on the 25th August and sits alongside a host of new summery tipples as part of Aldi’s new August Spirits Festival range, which is available in store now.
With the Premier League kicking off earlier than usual this August, it is set to clash with one of the most social times in Brits’ calendars: BBQ season!
To help shoppers host the ultimate football BBQ party whilst cheering on their favourite team (or booing a rival), Aldi has teamed up with foodie influencer, Scott Can Eat, to share a few bargains, with prices starting from 89p.
